Transept Trail, Grand Canyon

This was the last photo taken on any of our walks that day. It was about 5:30 in the evening, and we'd hiked all day, listened to a presentation about geologic formations (during which I mostly managed to behave myself), and then decided to take one last look around the lodge area before heading back to our campsite. We were tired and had a cranky 14 year old boy with us, so the almost entirely uphill trail was probably not the best idea, but we loved it anyway.
