Toilet Paper It's Not

This plant (whose name I cannot recall) was mentioned in a talk we heard about native plants. The woman making the presentation, named Gene (yes, that's the correct spelling), said that it's a rice plant that Ancestral Puebloans used for food, but that it's not recommended as a toilet paper substitution. She said, from experience, "That rice really sticks with ya!" Duly noted.
